Elder lamataught younger lama
Benefits of being stupid
And then suggested him
To ask three most stupidquestions
“Are Judges human beings?
Do they have emotions?
Do they see Amir Khan’sfilms?”
Younger lama asked threequestions
Which he considered
Most stupid questions
Elder Lama replied,
“Yes, the Judges too arehuman beings
they too have emotions andfailings,
and they too see films ofAmir Khan”
“Then why lawyers are sayingthat the Judges
should not see film Ghajni
which collected more than 200crores
from people in two weeks?”
asked younger lama
“Because many people who sawthis film
started suffering from
‘Short Term Memory Loss’disease”
replied Elder Lama
“What is this
Short Term Memory Lossdisease?”
Asked younger lama.
Elder Lama explained,
“In this disease,
a person retains his longterm memory,
but he cannot hold any newinformation
for more than fifteen minutes
in his short term memory.
“After 15 minutes,
He goes blank
And he has to be retoldeverything again”
‘Why lawyers consider it
inadvisable for judges to seethis file?”
younger Lama asked
Elder Lama replied,
“A husband –wife hadgone to see this move,
after they came out fromcinema hall,
husband asked his wife,
‘Who are you? I don’tremember you’
A person who had taken a bigloan,
Forgot that he had ever takenany loan
He asked his creditor,
‘Who are you? I don’tremember you’
A Judge who had gone to seethis film

‘What happened to the judge?”

‘Next day judge declared incourt
that he is suffering fromshort term memory loss
and he cannot remember a case
for more than 15 minutes
‘He requested both sidelawyers
to finish their arguments
in 13 minutes so that he canhave
two minutes for dictatingjudgement”
“And what happens if lawyers
continue to argue for morethan 15 minutes?”
asked younger lama
“After fifteen minutes,
the mind of judge goes blank
and he begins to look blanklyaround him
and then he asks court-master,
‘Who am I?
Who are these lawyers?
Why are we here?’
After court master explainshim the situation,
And tells him that he isJudge who is hearing a case.
He then asks lawyers,
‘Is this a civil case or acriminal case?’
And the lawyers have tore-start again”
