When a boy found my name and phone number while going through papers of his dead father.

Standard

Once a lawyer took up a case for Husband’s side in a wife’s case for maintenance alimony.

The husband happened to be brother in law of lawyer.

Lawyer got emotional and swear bad words against Judge.

Judge reported incident to High Court.

HC initiated contempt proceeding against lawyer and convicted him.

He sent papers to me to plead before SC. Here also his appeal was dismissed.

I informed him and forgot case as years passed by.

When his son became adult he found my name and mobile number written on a chit.

He called up me to know if there was any case of father pending in SC.

I informed him and asked him how his father died. He told me that his father was highly diabetic, high blood pressure and was having multiple diseases.

Point:

On reflection, I remembered that the lawyer never told me about his health issues. Unfortunately, I also did not ask him about his health.

Had I known his health issues, I might have pointed out issues to Judges.

The Judges usually drop contempt proceeding when diabetic and BP issues are pointed out because sometimes in flares of such diseases, a person can get excessively angry.
