How to prepare a case which runs into many volumes – Do not try to eat entire plate in one time..

Standard

If someone serves us an elephant in a dish, we do not have to eat that entire elephant there and then.

Sometimes it involves reading hours for a week or more weeks.

There are volumes and volumes of criminal law, but read only that much which is essential for your case.

How a junior advocate can increase his self esteem – Two suggestions.

Standard

In junior days, many clients used to tell me on my face that such and such criminal lawyer is better than me and he had got many bail orders…

I listened to them without reacting. But this passive listening damaged my self esteem.

It made me feel bad. I still remember the faces of some of these clients.

Hence, this post and these suggestions.

1) Promptly reply to such clients, “Then go to them. Don’t come to me.”

With this short answer you can dismiss them.

This will increase your self esteem tremendously.

2) After this client has gone, give a self pep talk to yourself, “So what? What one fool has done, another fool can always do. I can also get many bail orders when my cases are good. I am no less than Ram Jethmalani.”

This self talk will increase your self esteem and will make you feel good. Repeat this self talk several times if need be.

This will increase your self-esteem and self confidence.
