HC Judge’s View on Judiciary (Worth Reading)

Standard

People have strange perception about judiciary.

It worth to know what High Court Judges think.

Recently I had talk a prominent Senior Advocate a retired Madhya Pradesh HIgh Court Judge .

According to him, law is an art but it is not a satisfactory art.

It is very very difficult to do justice in accordance with law.

A feeling always remains in heart of a judge that something has remained incomplete.

That is why people go into appeal to one court after another court.

Lawyers have same feeling when case is over that something was yet to be pleaded.

Thus, though law is an art is not a satisfactory art. It is so easy for parties to throw allegations against judges.

But it is very difficult to do justice in accordance with law.

In every case, something good is seen and suddenly some very bad facts come up in evidence.

Each case is a challenge to do justice in accordance with law.

For Young Lawyers: Always Look into Heart of A Matter

Standard
I first heard these words when I was sitting in office of the prominent constitutional law expert and Senior Advocate P.P.Rao.

I had gone to his office with a client who wanted to engage him in a Land Acquisition matter. He looked into papers. He heard the points which were good according to me. Then he said, “Unless you go to the heart of the matter, you cannot expect Supreme Court to help you.”

Fortunately, these words went straight into my heart.

Since than, I always remember these words when I am preparing a matter for arguing in Supreme Court.

Sometimes trouble arises when some matters have no heart at all. Or where heart is dead since many years ago. But otherwise, these words can help in solving any kind of puzzle.
