What happens if an Independent Candidate dies after publication of list of contesting candidate?

Standard
If you are planning to contest election as Independent Candidate in next Election, it you may be aware about this law. Death of Candidate of a Recognized Political part will make difference. The Election may get postponed. But in case of death of an Independent candidate or death of a candidate of an unrecognised political party will not make any difference.

This may be good for independent  candidates. Because no one can get election postponed by causing death of an independent candidate. Law is discussed in detail by Supreme Court in Case of Jitu Patnaik V/s. Snatan Mohakud.
