Learn everything by slogans- Slogans are quick reflexes

Standard

In one Buddhist book I had read, “Learn everything by Slogans”

This makes sense. Because slogans evoke faster response from brain. Slogans unite energies of brain and release them fast.

Proverbs, cliches, formulas etc. are also forms of slogans.

But what happens, when mind has learned contrary slogans?

It stops functioning or becomes slow. It cannot quickly decide which slogan to follow and which to ignore.

Therefore:-

1) Learn slogans.
2) Avoid Learning slogans which may weaken already learned slogans.

Most religions say ‘Do not question what we say. Have 200% Faith in what we say."

Most religions say ‘Do not question what we say. Have 200% Faith in what we say.”

Budhha says like this: Do not believe in us blindly till you have questioned it thoroughly. Do not believe anything because we say so. You have to first yourself be satisfied.

But I think in all of us, there is a “Child” who always needs to be told what to do and what not to do about the Unknown.

For Unknown, we need to rely on some religion blindly.
