You must search and find a mentor.

You must search and find a mentor.

In absence of a mentor, sometimes, even persons with very high talents, have to accept jobs and remunerations which are much below their dignity and talents.

Until a person’s talents are recognised and nurtured by some mentor,  he has to toil and keep beating dusts.

History has recorded hundreds of such incidents.

I remember to have seen documentary film on life of great singer K.L.Saigal.

Jobless and starving, he was sitting on bank of a river and was singing a prayers to God. Some people threw coins at him thinking him to be a begger.

Lastly a man comes and asks him,”Do you want a job? Will you work for me?..Your voice is highly talented…. I am a businessman selling sarees. You can sell my sarees in streets because of your voice!”

The jobless and starving Saigal accepted this job.

It was only later that his voice talent was recognised by a film producer and then he shot to fame, money and celebrity status.

The point is, do not underestimate value of a mentor. Our Ego often tells us that “I do not need any mentor”. But this is an error.

What drives a person want to join legal profession ? How does he get fire in him to join this profession?

Standard

1)  Law is a calling  2)  It is not a career. 3) Those who have passion for justice and passion for protecting weak against strong, are drawn towards Law automatically by their nature, from early childhood.

I have heard about a family of Lawyers who are lawyers since five generations. Probably from #Nagpur in #Maharashtra.

One of them, Justice V. S. Sorpurkar, while retiring as Supreme Court Judge, had said in his farewell speech, “In our family, we worship Judiciary as our Mother. To us, to serve a litigant, whether as a judge or as lawyer, is an ‘act of worship’. To serve a poor client who is unable to pay, gave us special happiness of doing work for God “
